    Il Castello Visconteo di Vogogna:una stagione ricca di eventi

    Inaugurata il 31 marzo la nuova stagione turistica per il Castello di Vogogna, che dall'alto domina l'intero vecchio borgo e ne costituisce un indiscutibile riferimento. Molti gli eventi previsti all'interno delle mura...La struttura architettonica della fortificazione è semplice, a pianta irregolare, come tutti i castelli alpini che dovevano adattare la costruzione alle caratteristiche morfologiche del sito.Una visita a questa splendida fortificazione è davvero d'obbligo, anche più di una volta: sarà facile scoprire un particoalre in più, un angolo inesplorato, un nuovo e affascinante punto d'osservazione sulle montagne circostanti. Se questo non dovesse essere sufficiente, all'interno della struttura sono numerosissime le iniziative che arricchiranno la stagione in corso: convegni, cene ed aperitivi artistici, concerti e mostre, solo per citare alcuni esempi. Nel sito ufficiale del Comune di Vogogna potrete trovare tutte le manifestazioni in programma al Castello.
    Da subito però vi consigliamo di non perdere tre mostre davvero interessanti:

    - INSECTA: una serie di gigantografie ad altissima risoluzione composta dalla collezione entomologica del Museo di Scienze Naturali di Torino (aperta fino al 28 ottobre)
    - Mostra permanente "IL SOLDATINO DI PIOMBO" composta da figurini storici dal V al XXI secolo (aperta fino al 28 ottobre)
    - "GIULIO CONIGLIO E ALTRE STORIE" Esposizione di tavole originali di Nicoletta Costa. Dal 31 marzo al 30 giugno. Verranno organizzati laboratori didattici e letture ad alta voce.

    The 50th Stresa Festival

    The Festival Settimane Musicali di Stresa was founded in 1961 by the Venetian lawyer Italo Trentinaglia de Daverio inspired by his great love of music rather than by any personal interest. He grew up in a musical environment: his father, Erardo, was General Director of the Teatro alla Scala di Milano, General Manager of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice as well as a prolific composer. The Trentinaglia family owned a villa in Stresa and often gave hospitality to musical personalities such as Umberto Giordano and Arturo Toscanini who, together with Victor de Sabata, was one of their most frequent guests.

    Since 1999, the name of the Festival has been modified to Settimane Musicali di Stresa e del Lago Maggiore; among the new venues stands out the magical Hermitage Santa Caterina del Sasso where every year J.S. Bach's Suite for solo cello are performed by a different musician. Other new venues are the auditorium "La Fabbrica" in Villadossola, the Visconteo Castle in Vogogna, the Borromeo Castle in Angera, Villa Ponti in Arona, The Chiesa Madonna di Campagna and Villa San Remigio in Verbania, the Chiesa Vecchia in Belgirate and the Basilica San Giulio in Orta.

    Since June 2000 the Festival has a new Artistic Director: Gianandrea Noseda, who has earned in a very short time an international reputation as an outstanding conductor.

    The presence at the Festival of symphonic and chamber orchestras, conductors and soloists, be they emerging talents or of international renown ensure the continuation along the tracks that were laid out more than thirty years ago.

    A Major Event
